The trees in my northern lights card are all one stamp. Sorry I cannot for the life of me remember which company made it. I have a feeling it was a random E Bay purchase. I had tried to avoid having to layer the masked design over the card as I thought it would detract from the simplicity of the card but yours are positively enhanced by the darker mat. Gorgeous shading and superb use of colour to make them really jump off the paper. I would never have thought of this technique for Christmas cards but you have proved it can work perfectly. Well done.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09728636504467342180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624493524404602964.post-43055518921343486112010-12-07T23:31:53.541+00:002010-12-07T23:31:53.541+00:00Wow!! these are all absolutely gorgeous. I love the 'Northern Lights' card, it's very effective, and the bird stamp on card Number three is one of my favourites, after seeing Paula's work too! The colours that you have chosen for each card are lovely, and you have created some lovely works of art. Treescapes are a favourite of mine even though I don't get to use them often. All the images you have used are lovely though and definitely make beautiful Christmas cards.

I think this type of card is brilliant to keep several handy and just pop a relevant sentiment on if you need one in a hurry.

Beautiful work Buddy,
Hugs
Lesley Xxcraftimammahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00997146794724712348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624493524404602964.post-7970894974299264902010-12-05T08:41:07.770+00:002010-12-05T08:41:07.770+00:00These are beautiful and I know just what you mean ...These are beautiful and I know just what you mean about working outside the comfort zone. I'm sure it is good for us to do that from time to time and it has certainly worked well for you here. I'm also very wary of working directly onto cards when stamping and always mat and layer (chicken I suppose)!!Aquariushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02975832984643090577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624493524404602964.post-69863797134679422312010-12-05T08:02:48.611+00:002010-12-05T08:02:48.611+00:00wow beautiful shading of the inks...and wonderful ...wow beautiful shading of the inks...and wonderful choice in stamps(that bird stamp is fab,ay)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624493524404602964.post-72653010490430148002010-12-04T21:01:55.806+00:002010-12-04T21:01:55.806+00:00lovely cards Elaine - I always admire anyone who c...lovely cards Elaine - I always admire anyone who can do simple cards well, and you really have.
